MAINTENANCE
Add more life to your racket...
All too often, maintenance of racket sports is overlooked... To use a motoring analogy, you wouldn't keep driving a car if the tyres were bald, so regularly maintaining your racket is key to getting it to perform at it's best. Subsequently, we advise Clients to book their rackets in for a 5 point MOT at the beginning of every year in order to maximise their racket's performance, which includes the following -
-
Replace damaged/cracked grommets that not only protect the frame and strings but crucially can affect the swingweight of the racket and subsequent performance.
-
Replace worn base grips to maintain bevels in order to enhance correct stroke production and minimise blisters.
-
Replace worn over grips in order to protect the base grip.
-
Replace damaged butt caps to prevent twisting and ultimately loss of control of the racket.
-
Fresh restring, where the DT (string bed stiffness) has significantly dropped since your last restring and your racket has morphed into a slingshot...!
